Prof. Dushko Mukaetov PhD, graduated in 1989 at the Faculty of Agriculture in Skopje, and in 1996 he received his master's degree at the same faculty, on the topic: "Composition of the absorptive complex of soils formed on limestone and dolomite on the Jablanica mountain". He received his doctorate in 2004 at the Faculty of Agriculture in Skopje on the subject entitled: "Conditions for formation, genesis and properties of the hydrogenous mulberry trees widespread in Pelagonia". Since 1989 is employed at the Institute of Agriculture in Skopje, as a junior assistant in the Field Crops and Horticulture Department, Section of Irrigation. After his master's degree in 1997 he is selected for assistant in the Department of Pedology and Agrochemistry, and after getting his doctorate in 2004, he was chosen as a research associate in the same department. In 2009, he was elected as an associate professor and in 2015 as a full professor. From May to December 2007, he held the position of Assistant Director in the Department of Field Crops and Horticulture at the Institute of Agriculture in Skopje. In the period from January to May 2008, he held the position of a director assistant, and from May 2008 to May 2011 he held the position of Director to the same Institute. From 2014-2022, he held the position of Head of the Department of Soil Science and Plant nutrition and from 2022 to the present, he is a Head of the Quality Control Laboratory of soil, fertilizers and plant material, at the Institute of Agriculture - Skopje.
Today prof. Mukaetov is a full professor in the Department of Soil Science and Plant nutrition.
Carries out scientific research in the fields of: physical and chemical properties of soil, soil fertility, soil degradation, climate changes and their impact on soil and plants, remote sensing and digital soil mapping, etc.
Тeaches the second cycle of studies in the subjects: Climatic variability and vulnerability of organic production and Legal regulation in organic production.
