D-r Biljana Korunoska

Full professor

Prof. Biljana Korunoska, PhD, graduated in 1996 at the Faculty of Agriculture in Skopje, and she received her master's degree at the Faculty of Agriculture in 2001, on the topic: "Genotypic variation in table grape varieties as a basis for their breeding". She received her doctorate in 2007 at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food in Skopje, on the topic entitled: "Ampelographic identification, study and collection of autochthonous grape varieties in Republic of Macedonia". Since 1999, prof. Korunoska is employed at the Institute of Agriculture in Skopje, as a junior assistant in the Department of Viticulture and Winemaking, Department of Viticulture. After the master's degree in 2001, she was selected as an assistant, and after her doctorate in 2008, she was selected as an assistant professor. In 2018, she was elected as an associate professor, and in 2023, as a full professor. From 2008 to 2013, prof. Korunoska was appointed director of the State Phytosanitary Laboratory, a body within the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and water economy of Republic of Macedonia.

Today prof. Korunoska is a full professor in the Department of Viticulture.

Carries out scientific research in the fields ofviticulture, ampelography, organography, genetics and breeding of plant production, oenology, organic agriculture production, sustainable agriculture, etc.

Тeaches the second cycle of studies in the following subjects: Applied viticulture, Ampelography, Organic and biodynamic production of grapes and wine, Terroir and microclimatic conditions during wine production.
