For the applicative activity

The applicative activity of the Institute of Agriculture – Skopje includes a wide range of activities directed towards supporting the agricultural sector, promoting agricultural practices and improving technologies for agricultural production and sustainability.

Through this activity, the Institute contributes to policy development by providing research-based recommendations to the government sector. It is actively involved in programs that support and educate farmers, affected parties and the general public regarding the application of new agricultural practices.

These activities collectively contribute to promoting agricultural sciences, improving productivity, sustainability and resilience against challenges such as climate change and global food security.

More important applicative activities of the Institute include:

  • Post-control examinations and grape variety analysis;
  • Maintaining a collection of definitive samples of species and varieties of agricultural plants – Gene banks;
  • Feasibility studies on the production of agricultural crops and their processing;
  • Expert and health examinations of seed plantations and seed quality;
  • Expert and health examination of fruit and vine planting material;
  • Biological, physical and chemical examinations of specimens;
  • Chemical analyses of wine, grapes, distillates and alcoholic beverages intended for import and export;
  • Pedological and agrochemical analyses;
  • Chemical analysis of artificial fertilizers;
  • Laboratory analysis of white and raw rice quality.

The Institute of Agriculture - Skopje has implemented a large number of projects that represent a challenge at national, regional and international level.

The fruitful cooperation with companies, associations and individual producers at national and international level only confirms the reputation of the Institute of Agriculture as a reliable, proven and crucial partner.
