Our mission is to ensure the development of knowledge, research and education in the field of agricultural sciences as well as support the promotion of the agricultural sector. Therefore, scientific-research activities focus on the development of sustainable technologies and innovative solutions for plant production, the use of natural resources and environmental protection. We integrate current scientific knowledge into high-quality educational programs and training. Through open collaboration with all stakeholders, we are actively working towards finding solutions to the challenges faced by the agricultural sector.
The strategic vision of the Institute of Agriculture – Skopje is to be a recognizable and respectable institution in the field of agricultural sciences, acting through research, education and accessibility. Our goal is to encourage innovation and progress in the field of agriculture, while at the same time promoting sustainable practices and addressing challenges faced by the sector.
We strive to conduct the latest research addressing critical agricultural issues, such as climate change, food security and resource management. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and use of new technologies, we aim to develop innovative solutions that benefit farmers, consumers and the environment.
We are dedicated to providing high-quality study programs and training that will equip future generations of agronomists with knowledge and skills required for successful and sustainable agricultural production. Through practical approaches of learning, mentoring and access to state-of-the-art training capacities, we aim to create a diverse and talented workforce that can take agricultural production to a higher level.
We promote sustainable agricultural practices that optimize productivity, thus minimizing the negative environmental impact. By conducting research into sustainable agricultural production, precision agriculture and agroecology, we aim to develop and expand best practices that improve soil health, preserve water resources and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
